Surgical Risk Protection is an insurance product that pays out in the event of a death during a planned surgery.
Coverage is activated for a specific medical procedure and covers the patient from admission to discharge at the medical facility where the procedure will take place.
There are no medical related questions or exams other than identifying the surgery your client is having. Coverage is on-demand with no monthly payments.
Samos provides a unique URL to each advisor to share with your clients. The URL leads to a simple online digital buying experience where clients can purchase coverage in under 10 minutes.
Provide a new, unique, and innovative solution that clients aren’t getting anywhere else. Strengthen relationships and re-engage clients to review their overall financial insurance portfolio.
Premiums depend on the client’s age, procedure, and desired insurance coverage. Most of our premiums are under $100.
Surgical Risk Protection (SRP) covers most elective surgeries. Death benefit options are $50k, $100k, or $200k.
There is no medical exam and there are no medical related questions except identifying the surgery your client is having. Coverage is only available to people between the ages of 20 and 69 in Canada.
For the purposes of SRP, we define it as a medical procedure that is booked in advance. These procedures cannot be emergent, life threatening, critical, or sudden.
The client must sign up at least 48 hours before their surgery. The process is entirely online and takes less than 10 minutes. Clients use our simple online portal to provide the required information and make their payment with a credit card.
